The reintroduced Stanley^® Sweetheart^™ No. 62 Planes are solidly built and feature tough and durable A2 Tool Steel for superior edge retention. The No. 62 comes complete with a 2" wide bevel up blade that can be used for jointing short boards, and for roughing or smoothing. These planes combine the Bailey classic designs with the latest design features. Each plane base is made from precision ground, high quality cast iron for flatness, right out of the box. Special casting eliminates most chatter and vibration.

Iron is extra thick 3/16" steel.
