     It used to be that making wooden plugs with your drill press meant spending more time removing plugs from the cutter than actually cutting them. Not anymore. The RES·2000^TM (Radial Ejecting Stainless Steel) plug cutter, manufactured by Woodworker's Supply, Inc., has solved this problem forever. Once a plug has been cut, the next plug gently pushes the previous one out of the cutter, eliminating wasteful downtime.
     The patented radial-relieved design (U.S. Patent No. 6,273,652, issued August 14, 2001) allows the cutter to run smoother and cooler and stand up to tough abrasive woods used in production operations.
     The RES·2000 also features an aggressive helical cut to the tooth for rapid chip removal. Complex proprietary geometry removes chips from the cut so the tool is always cutting new wood with each revolution for faster, smoother and cooler running. Each Woodworker's Supply plug cutter ejects non-tapered plugs up to one inch long and is made of solid stainless steel, heat treated for extreme toughness and high performance. Shanks are 1/2" (3/8" shank on 3/8" plug cutter).
