NEW 2-IN-1 JOY-BLOCKTM PUSH BLOCK PROVIDES MORE POSITIVE GRIP WHEN FEEDING STOCK

NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT (March 2004)

(Casper, Wyoming) - With its innovative, retractable heel, the new Woodworker’s Supply® JOY-BLOCK™ Push Block (patent applied for) effectively combines the best features of the two most widely used push blocks – fixed heel and smooth face - into one, labor-saving and comfortable tool.

When slid over the edge of a work piece, the heel extends to catch the edge. This enables the user to exert high force to feed stock through most woodworking machines, while keeping hands away from the cutting tool. For larger pieces of stock, when placed on top of a work piece with downward pressure, the JOY-BLOCK™ Push Block heel retracts, allowing full-face contact and a high friction grip. The co-polymer plastic heel mechanism uses no metal springs or fasteners that could cause damage to tooling.

With its over-molded, high-friction face, the JOY-BLOCK™ Push Block (124-205 - $12.99 ea.) holds boards, tightly, while its molded handle with four thumb supports provides better control. Overall dimensions: 7" long x 3" wide x 2-7/8" high.

Development follows Woodworker’s Supply® patented JOY-STIK™ (922-377 - $12.99 ea.) - a push stick that uses similar non-slip, over-molded pads and sophisticated handle geometry for greater force.

Manufactured in the United States, the JOY-BLOCK™ Push Block was specifically developed by Woodworker's Supply®, "to meet and anticipate the needs of professional woodworkers." In business for more than three decades, Woodworker's Supply® provides top quality woodworking tools, machinery, abrasives, adhesives, hardware, accessories and wood specialty products to customers, worldwide, from stores and distribution centers in Casper, Wyoming, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Graham, North Carolina.
