Easy To mix shellac flakes allow you to reduce waste

J.E. Moser's® premium grade shellac flakes come in a wide range of refinements to meet your specific applications:

  • Seedlac is the least refined.
  • Garnetlacoffers a brownish amber tone and is highly desirable for antiques.
  • Orange is most popular for a warm looking general finish for most interior woodwork.
  • Super Blonde is the lightest of all our shellacs in color, highly refined and dewaxed -great for light wood tones and very useful as a sealer for most other shellacs, lacquers and most polyurethanes. Ideal for sealing dye stains and as a barrier coat to help seal off silicone which can cause fisheye in lacquer topcoats.
  • NOTE: All premium-grade shellacs should be dissolved in Behkol solvent or a high quality denatured alcohol.
