3/MTM TRIZACTTM SANDER DISCS


MICRON GRADED ABRASIVE LEAVE THE MOST CONSISTENT SCRATCH PATTERN

3M™ Trizact™ film backed abrasive consists of micro-structured aluminum oxide "pyramids". When used, the tops of the pyramids wear away, continually exposing fresh abrasive and ensuring a consistent cut rate throughout the longer life of the product:

  • Saves time - achieve desired finish in less than half the time of other methods.
  • Higher gloss level possible - crisper reflections, richer appearance.
  • Long abrasive life - lasts 8 to 10 times longer than other abrasives.
  • More effective surface leveling - flatter finish, eliminates orange peel.
  • Eliminates the need for compounds and buffing.
  • Minimizes dust generation, requires little water - can be used on site.
  • Simplifies surface maintenance, easy touch ups - even on high gloss finishes.


    • Application Suggestions:
    Best results are achieved using a 10,000 RPM random orbital sander. Use a spray misting bottle as a water source. Start and stop the sander while resting flat on the surface to eliminate swirl marks. Rinse debris from the waterproof Trizact™ disc and wipe surface clean following each step.

    Finishing Steps Must Be Followed In Sequence To Achieve Desired Finish:
  • Optional Pre-Step - 100 micron disc (if necessary to level rough surface and remove scratches).
  • Matte - A35 (micron) Trizact™ disc - green.
  • Semi Gloss - A10 (micron) Trizact™ disc - blue.
  • Gloss - A5 (micron) Trizact™ disc - orange.
  • High Gloss - white cerium oxide disc.


  • Conversion discs allow you to modify your existing pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) or conventional hook & loop (H&L) backup pad to the proprietary Hookit™ II System:
  • 132-395 - 5" PSA to Hookit™ II.
  • 132-401 - 6" PSA to Hookit™ II.
  • 132-398 - 5" H&L to Hookit™ II.
  • 132-404 - 6" H&L to Hookit™ II.
