The Jet^® JWL-1642 Lathes use a two-step, poly V-belt drive to provide two reversible variable speed ranges: 0-1,200 and 0-3,200 RPM. The movable headstock can be positioned at the end of the bed and used for larger diameter free-hanging bowl turning when using the optional outboard turning stand. An optional free-hanging 20" bed extension increases the between centers distance to 62". Also available is an optional 57" bed extension w/leg bringing the between centers distance to 99". Available in 1-1/2HP and 2HP models:

Lathes includes 14" tool rest, 6" faceplate, spur center, live center, safety shield, tool basket, knockout rod and instruction manual.

Additional features include digital readout, tool storage basket and shelf support lip cast in the stand to accept 2x4 shelving.
