KELTON HOLLOWING RIG

The Kelton Hollowing Rig takes the stress out of deep hollowing by eliminating torsional twist on hollowing tools. While holding the hollowing tools rigid in one plane, the rig moves almost effortlessly across the tool rests providing precise control over the position, depth and rate of cut. This reduces the muscle fatigue associated with hand held tools so attention can be focused directly to guiding the tool cutter making deep hollow work a pleasure. An optional 21" Deep Boring Bar provides additional weight and stability for those extra deep hollowing applications. An optional Laser Guide frame bolts directly to the Hollowing Rig and a laser pointer (not included) can be adjusted to determine the exact wall thickness required:

Tri-tube tool holder has set screws to hold 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4" Kelton Hollower Tools.

Rear cross bar adjusts up and down to fit all swings up to 24".

Universal bed mounting plate (3" x 4") holds hollowing rig to most lathe beds - additional bed plates (clamp blocks) available at link below.

Laser Guide will hold laser pointers up to 1-1/16" in diameter.
