A simple tap of the mallet on either of these spring-loaded corner chisels squares corners for perfect fitting hinges - lift the chip with a chisel and you're done:

  • 107-999 - 1/2" size cleans up after 1/2" mortising bits - 2-3/4"H x 1-3/16" square.
  • 858-467 - 5/8" size handles 5/8" mortising bits - 3-1/4"H x 1-11/16" x 1-7/16".
  • Also work great for cleaning up corners for installing backings and for picture frames.
  • Cutting edges easily resharpened with a hand file.
