Manufactured from hardened steel, IKEDA^® Fine Tools' Douzuki, Kugihiki, Ryoba and Kataba handsaws all cut on the pull stroke, which reduces saw blade fatigue and prevents bowing. Suitable for hardwood as well as softwood, Japanese saws require less power and ensure great precision:

117-521, 117-533 - Douzuki 5.85" (150mm) and 8.27" (210mm) dovetail saws have rigid backs for straight cutting; blades are 0.0078" (0.2mm) thick. Used for cross and angled cuts. 15-3/8 and 20-3/8" overall lengths.

117-551 - the extremely flexible Kugihiki Gold 7.02" (180mm) flush cut saw has a 0.0078" (0.2mm) thick blade. Used for trimming dowels flush with surface; teeth have no set to eliminate scratches. Overall length 16-1/4".

117-578 - the classic Ryoba 9.36" (240mm) double crosscut saw has a 0.0195" (0.5mm) thick blade. Teeth on both edges of saw blade. 22" overall.

117-584 - the Kataba Gold 9.75" (250mm) combination crosscut/rip saw has a 0.0195" (0.5mm) thick blade, while the Kataba 11.7" (300mm) curved crosscut saw (117-590) has a 0.0234" (0.6mm) thick blade. Work like panel saws and used for quickly cutting wood to size. Overall lengths 22" and 23-5/8".

Long, wooden handles on all saws provide excellent balance and are rattan wrapped for a better grip. Replaceable blades should last several years depending upon use and types of wood being cut.
