  • To estimate the length of frame molding for any given side of an item being framed, add the length of that side to two times the width of the frame stock. This will take into account material for cutting miters and a bit of overage.
  • NOTE: Due to variations in manufacturing, molding length can vary slightly. Most will be over 48" long. However, an occasional piece can be an inch or so under 48".
