THE ROBERT SORBY THREAD CUTTING SYSTEM WILL HELP YOU PRODUCE CONSISTENT THREADS ON BOXES, LAMPS, MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS OR WHERE EVER THREADING IS DESIRED. THREAD CUTTERS ARE DESIGNED WITH A UNIQUE HELIX SHAPE SPECIFICALLY FOR CUTTING WOOD AND ARE AVAILABLE IN INTERNAL/EXTERNAL PAIRS AT 10, 16 AND 20 THREADS PER INCH - THE 10 TPI SET IS USED FOR LARGER WORK WHILE THE 20 TPI SET IS USED FOR VERY FINE WORK. THE THREAD AND SIZING GAUGE IS USED TO CORRECTLY SIZE THE WOOD COMPONENTS PRIOR TO CUTTING. IT IS CALIBRATED FOR 10, 16 AND 20 TPI WITH A FOURTH UNMARKED ANVIL FOR PUSH FITS. ALSO AVAILABLE IS A RELIEF CUTTING TOOL USED TO PRODUCE THE NECESSARY RECESS ON THE END OF INTERNAL THREADS. A COMPANION FOCUS ON THREAD CUTTING DVD SHOWS ALL THE TECHNIQUES AND PROCEDURES USED TO PRODUCE PERFECT THREADS INCLUDING THREE SAMPLE PROJECTS:
