What previously took hours to do with water or oil stones can now be done in just minutes using the patent pending LAP-SHARP™ LS-200 (shown with Tool Guide Bar Assembly 136-331 assembled and disassembled). With it, you can achieve sharp, flat tool edges with near mirror smooth finishes:

  • LAP-SHARP™ sharpens using a turntable fitted with easily interchangeable and identifiable color coded aluminum discs onto which pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) abrasive discs are mounted.
  • Low speed, 200 RPM operation reduces friction heating - 115VAC/230VAC (prewired 115VAC) motor.
  • Use wet or dry - lap or hone with progressively finer grits until the desired edge is achieved.
  • Foot switch provides improved user control - reversible rotation for sharpening knives.
  • Cast aluminum body, precision machined surfaces and turntable, powder coat finish.
  • Includes foot, on/off and forward/reverse switches, power cord, four color coded 8" dia. aluminum discs, disc securing knob, aluminum oxide PSA abrasive discs (two 120µ, two 80µ, one 35A and one A10), lubricant spray bottle, drain hose, instructional DVD and operating manual.
  • 8-1/4"H x 14-7/8"W x 12-1/4"D, 35 lbs. shipping weight.

  • Optional LAP-SHARP™ accessories and a full range of abrasives allow you to customize your sharpening activities:
  • 136-331 - Tool Guide Bar Assembly includes locking knob, self squaring tool clamp, angle gauge, ball spring plunger and mounting hardware.
  • 136-400 - Self Squaring Tool Clamp is used with the guide bar to hold a tool while sharpening the bevel edge.
  • 143-315 - Splash Guard reduces lubricant spatter caused by the disc rotation - recommended for continuous lubricant applications such as when using diamond abrasive.
  • 143-318 - Turning & Carving Tool Jig has two support bars that can be used as a freehand support arm.
  • 143-321 - Planer & Jointer Blade Jig Assembly holds knives at the desired bevel angle. Numbers etched into the two adjusting knobs enable you to evenly feed a knife and repeat the setting on additional knives.
  • 136-403, 136-406, 136-409 - Color Coded 8" Aluminum Discs.
