These premium GCW Grinding Wheels are some of the best on the market. Choose from three different categories of to meet your sharpening and grinding needs:

  • White Aluminum Oxide Wheels are economical and cool cutting.
  • This wheel is more friable than the blue or green wheels and will stay cool while removing more material during general shaping operations.
  • Use for quickly sharpening all types of steel from common grades to high speed steel.


  • Premium Blue Aluminum Oxide Wheels are harder and less friable than the white wheels and require a minimum of dressing to keep them performing at peak efficiency.
  • The most common wheel for general grinding operations will quickly put an edge on existing tools from common steel to high speed steel.
  • An excellent all around wheel for your bench grinder.


  • Green Silicon Carbide Wheels are harder than the white and blue aluminum oxide wheels and are designed to grind the hardest tungsten carbide cutters.
  • These green stones run cool since they only remove a limited amount of material greatly reducing the chance of overheating.
  • Will sharpen all grades of steel.


  • Dimensions are: diameter x wheel-width x bushing diameter (6"x 3/4"x 1").
  • 6" and 7" diameter wheels have 1" bores and include bushing kits that work with 1/2", 5/8" 3/4" and arbors.
  • 8" wheels have 1-1/4" bore and include bushing kits that work with 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1" arbors.
  • NOTE: Use a wheel dressing stick to smooth out deep grooves and a diamond dresser for final dressing.
