GENERAL FINISHES Country Colors Water Based Color Stain spreads and blends just like oil-based stains:

  • Thicker formula allows controlled penetration to reduce blotching on hard-to-stain woods such as Aspen, Pine and Maple - perfect for special effects finishes such as faux marble, crackle finishes, pickling, distressing, antique wood graining and more.
  • Seven distinctive colors - apply with a foam brush, in sections.
  • Up to 30-minute open time so you can wipe down to an even tone.
  • Once tone is even, wipe off excess to reveal more grain or apply second coat for paint-like appearance.
  • 1 pint cans - each covers approximately 75 sq. ft.
  • 953-425 - Thin stain with optional EF Extender for longer open time.
