CLIFTON planes feature hand forged 1/8" thick high carbon steel blades with two-piece cap irons, fully ground sides and soles and polished Bubinga hardwood knobs and handles. They also have stainless steel adjusting levers and components and accurately machined gray cast iron bodies and frogs (frog mechanisms use fully machined "Bedrock" design for rigidity; design means mouth width can be adjusted without changing the blade setting):

  • 116-780, 116-783 - #3 and #4 bench planes are 9-3/4"L.
  • 143-102 - #4-1/2 smooth plane is 10-1/2"L.
  • 116-786 - #5 bench plane is 14"L.
  • 143-105 - #5-1/2 jack plane is 15"L.
  • 116-789 - #6 bench plane is 18"L.
  • 116-792 - #7 bench plane is 22-1/4"L.
  • 116-807 - The 3-in-1, CLIFTON 3110 Plane combines the features of shoulder, chisel and bull nose planes. As a shoulder plane, a front extension piece is attached. As a chisel plane, all nose pieces are removed. As a bull nose plane, the thinner nose piece is fitted with one or both 1/32" and 1/64" precision machined steel shims. 6"L. 1-1/8" blade. 2 lbs.
  • 116-813 - The CLIFTON 420 Shoulder Rabbet Plane fills the need for a light, accurate shoulder plane. 8"L. 3/4" blade. 2.5 lbs.
  • 116-819 - Model 410 is a narrow, light and accurate shoulder plane. 5-1/2"L. 11/16" blade. 1-1/4 lbs.

    • NOTE: Combination and shoulder rabbet planes are machined using many of the same quality materials as the bench planes; adjustments are generally made using a set screw.
  • 116-825 - Model 400 is a delicate plane for precision work. Blade adjusted and held in place with a Rosewood wedge. 3-1/8"L. 3/8" blade.
  • 810-173, 810-180 - CLIFTON 2 piece cap irons improve the performance of standard bench planes by fitting tighter and reducing clogging in the mouth.
