EFFICIENT TOOLS FOR TURNING DEEP HOLLOW FORMS
Designed to work through narrow openings, the Robert Sorby swivel-tip Probe and Swan Neck Hollowing Tools will quickly hollow out bowl and vase forms. The straight shafted Probe tools will open out the forms while the Swan Neck tools are designed to cut the inside walls and undercut rim areas. The High Speed Steel swivel-tip cutters can be positioned for the most effective cutting angle and are suitable for both side and end grain work. The maximum recommended extension over the tool rest is 5-1/2" for the 20" tools and 7" for the 24" tools. Optional Wall Thickness Gauges take the guesswork out of determining wall thickness and are available for the 14" and 20" Swan Neck tools:

  • All tools are fitted with Bullet Tip cutters.
