The heavy duty Gem Industries' Model BW-H Orbital Sander weighs 16 lbs., but features a well balanced counterweight system that lets you easily guide its 11" dia. drive pad as it sands with a motion like the human hand:

  • 110/220V, 2.3A ball bearing, capacitor motor - 1,700 orbits per minute greatly minimize possibility of swirl marks associated with high-speed rotary buffers.
  • No gears to grind or strip. No armature winding to burn out. No carbon brushes to burn out.
  • Heavy duty aluminum housing - works equally well and uniformly on solid surface and wood products.
  • Includes Model C-515C drive pad with pan and HOOKIT™ II mounting system (order sanding discs or pads, separately).
  • Sanding discs or pads available in Scotch-Brite®, aluminum oxide or Trizact™ structured abrasives.
  • Micron grade vs. U.S. mesh grade: 30 = 400, 60 = 220, 80 = 180, 100 = 150, 180 = 80.


  • 123-665 - Model C-515HD heavy duty drive pad features layer of rubber for more aggressive work - lasts up to 5 times longer and holds up better in damp applications.
  • 123-662 - Model S-112 shroud eliminates much of the dust associated with sanding operations - 1-1/2" dia. outlet includes adaptor to fit 1-1/4" dia. shop vacuum hose.
  • 123-671 - Model C-645S Solid Surface Compound prepares surface for uniform bonding with acrylic and is a required first step before applying sealant - once sanding and finishing are complete, apply compound with polisher/sander and Micro-Fiber bonnet.
  • 123-668 - Model C-523S Countertop Sealant seals surface with a layer of acrylic, protects against scratches and stains and eliminates most maintenance problems on semi-gloss and high gloss surfaces.
